What we collect

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and how they find us. It collects the pages you view, how you arrived (for example, from a search), your general location (country or city, not your address), your device and browser type, and clicks on sponsored links. Google doesn't store full IP addresses for Analytics. In the US and most other countries it sets cookies (named _ga) to recognise repeat visits.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, analytics cookies are switched off by default, and Google receives only cookieless visit signals. Advertising features are switched off for everyone.

You can block Google Analytics withGoogle's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Seehow Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy. Fonts are served from our own domain, not from a third party.

Partner sites

When you follow a sponsored link, you leave our site, and the partner's privacy policy applies. Airthings, for example, may use cookies or a code in the link to credit the sale to us. SeeAirthings' privacy notice.

Your choices

We don't hold any data that identifies you by name, and we don't sell personal data. Analytics data is kept by Google under our account's retention settings. If you have a question about this policy, see our contact page.
