What drives the cost
- Foundation type: basement, crawl space, or slab-on-grade each need a different system.
- System type: sub-slab depressurization is most common; sub-membrane for crawl spaces.
- The fan: runs continuously; quality and size affect upfront and running cost.
- Sealing: sealing cracks and openings improves performance but rarely fixes radon alone.
What to ask a contractor
- Are you NRPP or NRSB certified?
- Will you guarantee a post-mitigation test below 4 pCi/L?
- Is a post-installation test included in the price?
- What's the warranty on the fan and system?
